Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 18, 2026

Misplay is a lightweight independent fan tool for playtesting Magic: The Gathering games and sharing play sequences. This policy explains what the site does with information when you use it.

No account required

Misplay does not require an account or sign-up. We do not maintain user profiles, and we do not ask for names, passwords, payment details, or other sensitive personal information to use the site.

Information stored on your device

Your current draft, interface preferences, and cached card data may be stored in your browser’s local storage so the site can restore your work on that device. This information stays on your device unless you choose to create a share link.

Shared games

When you choose Share game, Misplay stores the game snapshot needed to play that shared link. It contains the game state you submit, such as cards, positions, steps, captions, and backgrounds. It does not include an account identity or sensitive personal information. Anyone with the shared link can view that snapshot.

Cookies and similar technology

Misplay does not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or third-party analytics cookies. The site may use essential browser storage, including local storage, to remember your draft and preferences. Your browser may also cache files needed to display the site and card images.

Third-party services

Card names and card images are retrieved from Scryfall when you search for cards or load card art. Shared games are stored by the hosting service that operates Misplay. Those services receive only the network requests needed to provide their functions. Review their policies for details about their own processing.

Downloads and exports

Video, GIF, and image exports are processed in your browser. Exported files are saved to your device when you download them; Misplay does not receive those files.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy when the site changes. The date above shows when it was last revised. For questions about this policy or Misplay, use the contact method provided with the Misplay project.

Misplay is an independent fan project. Magic: The Gathering and related card content belong to their respective rights holders. Card data and images are sourced from Scryfall.
